General Manager, AVID, an IHG Hotel: Location - McKinney, Texas

The ideal candidate must be accountable for all hotel services, such as guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, revenue management, expense management, team building, and employee recruitment and development.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of the hotel, as per the Organizational chart.

  • Hold regular briefings and meetings with all head of departments.

  • Ensure full compliance with hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.

  • Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.

  • Handling complaints & overseeing the service recovery procedures.

  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.

  • Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.

  • Ensure all decisions are made in the best interests of the hotel and management.

  • Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short- and long-term strategic goals for the property.

  • Developing improvement actions, carrying out cost savings.

  • A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies.

  • Closely monitor the hotel’s business reports daily and take decisions accordingly.

  • Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms, Food & Beverage, Admin & General, are on target and accurate.

  • Maximizing room yield and hotel revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.

  • Any other responsibilities assigned by the management

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of proven work experience in Hotel/Hospitality Management industry

The Director of Sales creates and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring the hotel revenues meet or exceed budgets, as well as developing a growing mix of business that enhances the hotel's value and ultimate bottom line. The individual must display effective listening and communication skills, initiative, ability to work independently and in teams, and lead by example. They must be able to exercise good judgement and discretion, display effective problem-solving skills, and provide excellent customer service. Additionally, they must have the ability to multitask, maintain composure under pressure, and display a high level of professionalism, integrity, and follow through.

**Hotel Sales Experience Required**

Compensation is base plus bonus.

  • Provide sales training to front office staff

  • Participates in revenue management calls and strategies

  • Schedule and completes sale appointments

  • Attending local business and community events

  • Assis guests with plans for meetings, schedules and monitors meeting functions, conducts property tours and explain amenities

  • Assist with follow up on room lists, direct bill and other requirements of previously booked business

  • Maintain sales files and ensure accurate entry in sales system

  • Organize work week to include a strong prospecting paln each week targeting business for need hotel dates

  • Facilitate inside sales leads

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Qualifications

  • Bachelors/ High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years hotel sales experience

We are looking to add a full-time, Personal & Commercial Lines Insurance Agent. This is a long-term, hourly + commission-based position.

Duties

  • Work with commercial clients to arrange project financing with lenders

  • Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements

  • Perform financial and economic analysis for various types of intercompany transactions, involving services, intangible and tangible goods

  • Create financial models to evaluate potential investment opportunities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of clients' loan requests and financial standing

  • Calculate financial ratios, such as Debt Service Coverage

  • Collect and analyze all documents relevant to projects, including property purchases, plans, construction bids, bank statements, loan statements, credit reports, etc

  • Create business plans, projections, and loan summaries

  • Analyze market trends, regulations, and loan requirements

  • Work with lenders and underwriters to provide additional information requested

  • Perform monthly billing analysis and prepare invoices for various clients

  • Draft industry and functional analysis to prepare documentation report for IRS compliance

  • Perform searches on LexisNexis, Factiva, and IBIS World to research companies and industries
